“Firstly Vitor our driver was great. A lovely young guy with a lot of knowledge and extremely polite. Highly recommend him. The activity was more difficult than we expected. We only managed about half of it before turning back. The walking was tricky in parts but the big problem was the wind. It nearly swept us off our feet and ceased to be enjoyable. The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful though. In a Scottish highlands kind of way with pinch points that allows the view of the sea from both sides. It’s very remote and otherworldly but probably always windy. Glad we tried it and you should too.”

In terms of the hike, the stairway to heaven (part of PR1) was spectacular, even with pretty terrible weather (wind, rain, lots of cloud cover). Highly recommend visiting that part of the hike at sunrise. However, a significant portion of the trail that is included in the posted description was closed so unfortunately, we had to do an alternative hike, PR3, which wasn’t great.
